    The office of Admissions and New Student Services are ready to help make your transition to UTPA as seamless as possible. Our www.newstudent.utpa.edu website will provide you direct access to our admissions guidelines, deadlines and orientation dates.   • UTPA Transfer Center

    The UTPA Transfer Center is located on the corner of Pecan Boulevard and 29th Street in McAllen TX. The center provides admissions, academic advising and financial aid information to prospective students. An academic advisor from each of the seven colleges gives guidance throughout the month. Hours of operation are from Monday-Thursday 9:00am-6:00pm and Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Walk-ins are welcomed, for more information call 956-665-7442.

  • Access to Your Account 24 Hours a Day

    Once you apply to UTPA, your will be assigned a username and password. You will have access to your account at www.assist.utpa.edu any time of the day. You will be able to check your application status, scholarship and financial aid, and get campus-wide information financial.

  • Orientation

    Enhance your social integration into the college community by learning about the UTPA campus, clubs and organizations, student services, financial aid, academic programs and student life.

  • University Academic Advising Center

    The Academic Advisement and Mentoring (AAM) Center is an integral academic support unit within the Office of Undergraduate Studies of the Division of Academic Affairs at The University of Texas-Pan American. Once you are admitted Schedule Your Advisement appointment and Access Your Degree Plan

  • Career Services

    Students are encouraged to discuss their choice of major, as well as related career plans, with the counseling staff of Career Services. Appointments for these services are recommended at least 2 – 3 days in advance. Our professional staff is also available to review resumes and cover letters, and offer suggestions for possible improvement. Remember a job today, maybe your career tomorrow!
